Incense of the day: Frankincense Today, celebrate with family and friends. Borrow some of the traditions of the Chinese New Year celebrations: fill your home with colorful floral arrangements, invite friends in for dinner and order take-out, or show off your own gourmet skills by preparing a variety of Chinese dishes to share. This is a day to celebrate the ancestors, for they are the foundation of our lives. It is also a day to show our friends and relatives how important they are to us. Have a sheet of paper for each of your guests, and don't forget yourself. Have each person write his or her name on one of the sheets and then pass them around, asking everyone to write a wish or make a loving comment about the person whose name is on the paper. What you are doing is trading spells of love and support. Enjoy the day! |
