Today is the dark of the Moon. The Moon will not be seen at all in the sky, this is the time of dark magic and mystery, and a perfect time to call on Hecate, the patron of witches and sorcerers, to see what lessons she may have for us. Her symbols are keys, cauldrons, and the crossroads. Don't be surprised if you notice howling dogs when you call upon Hecate. They sense when she is near. Tonight, as darkness falls, light a purple candle and call on the goddess of the Crossroads and meditate on her. Here is a little invocation to get the magic rolling. Blessed Be!

Hecate, triple-faced Maiden, Mother, and Crone,
I honor your presence in my life, hearth, and home.
During this dark of the Mono,
I call you near,
I sit, eager to learn and ready to hear.
