We can all remember where we were and what we were doing on the morning of September 11, 2001, when we heard the tragic news that two airliners were used as weapons to destroy the Twin Towers in New York City, and when an airliner crashed into a Pennsylvania field, and another slammed into the Pentagon. Let us remember the heroes of that day - the passengers and crew aboard the planes, the thousands of people in the Twin Towers and in the Pentagon. Let us remember the police officers and firefighters, many of whom lost their lives protecting others. Let us remember the families and friends of the victims, whose lives were shattered in a matter of minutes. And, let us remember the brave ones who got involved in the clean-up and recovery process. Yes, let us remember and pray that something like this never happens again. Let there be tolerance and peace. |
