Spell: Opening Your Third Eye

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The third eye is the pineal gland located near the center of the brain, in the middle of the forehead. This gland is affected by light, and stimulation of the pineal is believed to increase psychic ability. Samhain is the ideal time to open this eye and peer into the unknown.
Sit in a chair and lean your head back. Take a small polished amethyst or sodalite stone, and place it on your third eye. Close your eyes. Visualize a beam of pure white light pouring down, through the stone, into your third eye, filling it with power. When you feel full of energy, say these words to seal the spell:

"Power of light, power of second sight,
Pour into me on this holy night.
Mighty Goddess, winter's Crone,
Open my eye to that unknown."

All forms of divination and scrying are improved by this magic.
