1. Your new book is Spells for Tough Times. What types of spells are included in the book?
Spells for Tough Times includes all kinds of spells. There are spells regarding finances, relationships, health, children, pets, death, and more. In this book I covered topics that often are a source of trouble, whether they be mild inconvenience or serious crises.
2. There are already books dedicated to love spells, abundance spells, protection spells…the list could go on. Why did you feel there was a need for a spell book devoted to "tough times?"
Many people in the world today are going through difficult times—I myself have had my own fair share. At times I felt like I was alone, and therefore concluded if I feel alone with my problems there are other people in the world who feel alone with theirs also. The worst time to feel alone is when you're trying to deal with a difficult situation. Just knowing there is somebody out there who has been in your shoes, or is willing to give you support, can make dealing with your problems that much easier. We often feel that we can't ask for help, and we shouldn't feel that way. When we need help it should be available to us, and if we can help ourselves magically, that is an added bonus.
3. Spells for Tough Times is divided into several sections, including spells that address the self, spells for pets, spells for finances, and many more. Why did you decided to break it down in this fashion?
Spells for Tough Times is broken down in this manner simply to make it easier for the reader to find what they're looking for. If you have an urgent need you can look through the different categories to find something that fits closely with your situation, or if you have time you can browse through and look to see if anything meets with your current needs. This is a reference book, not a book you will read from front cover to back cover. You may use it five times in one week and then put it on the shelf for two months. Is a book you can use to help others and yourself.
4. What advice do you have for someone that feels that they are dealing with a difficult situation in their life?
No matter how much it may feel like it at times, you are not alone. Somewhere out there in the big world there is somebody else who's going through or has gone through a situation very close to your own. Learning to deal with your own problems also helps you learn how to help friends and family when they have problems of their own. You learn empathy for others. With hard work, problems can be overcome and life does get better. There are no quick fixes, but there are ways to learn to cope with and to deal with your problems.
5. What do you hope your readers will take away from Spells for Tough Times?
I want my readers to realize that, unfortunately, bad things do sometimes happen to good people. We often have circumstances in our lives that are out of our control, but how we deal with those circumstances is what defines us as human beings. Dealing with your own problems is a way of facing reality. Life is not always happy and bubbly, and though we may wish our lives could be one hundred percent positive, negativity does creep in. Often these events are completely out of our control. If we pay attention to the world around us, educate ourselves, and learn compassion, we can create a better world for everyone.
