On July 14, 1789, the people of France stormed the Bastille prison. It was the start of the French Revo-lution, and proof that the power to make decisions resides with the people. Bastille Day is still celebrated in France, and in communities influenced by France. Have fun today. Wear the colors red, white, and blue. Eat French food, and drink French wine. Read a French novel, and watch a French film. Write letters for Amnesty International, or send an e-mail to your government representatives with suggestions. You have the power to influence decisions that affect your life. Most importantly, pick an area in your life that needs some liberation. Let today be the first step in self-liberation.
