For centuries, seekers of love have invoked the apostles Simon and Jude on October 28. This spell requires a red candle anointed with the herb mimosa, a knife, and a perfect red apple. Center and light the candle. Carefully peel the apple so the peel comes off in one strip. Turn deosil three times with the peel in your right hand, and say:

St. Simon and St. Jude,
I must intrude.
Without delay,
tell me today
the first letter of my true love's name.

Drop the peel over your left shoulder, and it will form the initial of your future spouse's last name.
