In agrarian calendars, this marks Plowing Day, the day after the Full Moon when the soil is ready for tilling in spring. Farming and plant-ing are powerful metaphors for those who work magic for self-transformation. At this time, our desires and goals are like seeds that need to be carefully tended so they may grow and bear fruit. To encourage this, fill a small bowl with potting soil. Choose a seed symbolic of your goal-such as an acorn for protection and health, a poppy seed for fertility, a walnut for healing, an almond for wisdom, brazil nuts for love, and so on. Or else use any seed or nut to represent what you wish it to through you intention. As you plant the seed, chant your intention:
By seed and root, by bud and stem, by leaf and flower and fruit, I invoke the power to achieve my goal.
When your goal is achieved, add the soil to your garden or a nearby park, releasing its power to the earth.
