The hibernating mother bear has inspired many myths through time. For instance, one intriguing myth is that mama bear gives birth to her cub as she dreams in her den. In Norway, this day, May 21, is recognized as the time when the bear awakens and begins tending to her cubs. To inspire your ability to have potent, creative, and prophetic dreams at this time, make the following dream pillow. Mix a handful mullein, mugwort, jasmine flowers, chamomile, and lavender in a bowl. Then, mix one-quarter teaspoon each of the essential oils of chamomile and lavender, and add six to eight drops of attar of roses. Stir this mixture, and then add it to the herbs. Place the herb blend into a muslin bag, and tie the bag up with a new purple ribbon. Place the pillow near your bed at night, and before you go to sleep recite in a soft, but clear voice:

Dream by day,
Dream by night.
Dream herbs do your best
To stimulate insight.

Repeat this three times, pausing to consider your dream pillow after each time. Then add:

So it is written,
So mote it be.
