Color of the day: Coral Incense of the day: Violet Incense of the day: Violet Today is the festival of Neptunalia, to honor Neptune, god of the sea. Neptune's mother saved him from his child-eating father, Cronus, by offering the father a horse in place of the child. Neptune was saved and grew up to be the god of horses. For this spell, etch a three-prong trident shape on a blue candle dressed with two parts frankincense, one part pine oil. Light the candle, and ask Neptune to bless your horse. Write the name of the horse you wish to win nine times. Write your name nine times. Watch how the candle burns. If the wax drips mostly on the left side, chances are your horse will lose. If the wax drips mostly on the right side, chances are your horse will win. It is never good magic to gamble more than you can afford to lose. |
