The mysteries of life, death, and rebirth are central to modern-day Witches, offering many us life lessons. While it is easy to honor life and rebirth, we also need to honor and recognize death and sacrifice. Take time to reflect in a simple ritual. You will need a tarot deck, mugwort incense, a black candle, some paper to record your thoughts, and a safe, private space. Invoke a goddess of truth, such as Maat or Hecate:

Goddess guide my sight. Show me on
this very night
The lessons that
I have learned
So I will not make
the same turn.

Shuffle the tarot deck and turn over three cards. They will show you the lessons your mind, body, and soul have learned. Make notes and repeat the spread as many times you need to. When finished reading, say:

Goddess, I thank you on this night
For the gift of
clear sight.
I know life is a
great adviser,
And it makes me so much wiser.
