Choose a red feeder, the hummingbirds' favorite color. Fill with a commercial nectar blend, or get a recipe for sugar-water from a conservation site. Don't use honey or food coloring. To help the birds find your feeder quickly, visualize it as a huge red flower amidst a cloud of hummingbirds, and say this as you hang it: Hummingbirds so swift and fair Teach me all the gifts of air.
