Planting Seeds Spell

Today marks the end of Passover and the beginning of spring for those of the Jewish faith. What better time to do a ritual around growing things! Gather your gardening tools, soil, seeds, and small containers. Place them on your altar and call the directions. Breathe deeply and say:

Goddess Ceres, Mother of the Harvest.
Goddess of the plants, of the time of growing.
Ceres, I ask your blessings upon these items.
May my garden spring forth, strong and bountiful.
May my flowers scent the air and warm the senses.
May my vegetables grow large and tasty.
And may my plot be free of weeds.
For this I ask your blessing, Ceres!

Even if you do not intend to have a garden, this is a good day to plant some seeds in a pot for your windowsill. Ask Ceres' blessing!
