Break the Chains That Bind You
Color of the day: Black Incense of the day: Sandalwood Incense of the day: Sandalwood Using lengths of construction paper, write down things of which you would like to be free. They could be physical things, such as debt or a burned-out job situation, or more internal needs, such as being free of self-doubt. Form the papers into a paper chain. Light a fire in an outside area or have a container in which you can burn things. Call your directions and then chant: Chains that bind me from my destiny Keep me from being all I can be. In this circle I respond Make me independent of these bonds! Now free! Forever free! So mote it be! Read each chain link and then cast it into the fire. When the ashes have cooled, gather and dispose of them by burying or offering them to the wind. |
