POSTED UNDER Love, Moon

Knotted Love Spell

Color of the day:  Crimson
Incense of the day:  Nutmeg

St. Ursula, the Christianized version of the Teutonic Moon goddess, is celebrated today. It was said that St. Ursula sailed down the Rhine River with 11,000 virgins in attendance. Her retinue was hijacked and slaughtered by the Huns, and St. Ursula became the patron of single women.

If you're tired of being single, take a red candle, a picture of yourself, a photo of your potential love, and a length of red ribbon 22 inches long. Light the candle and center. Tell St. Ursula about your love. Sell her on the idea of the two of you as a committed couple. When you've made your case, place the pictures of you and your love face to face and seal them together with melted wax from your candle. Now take the red ribbon and wrap it around your pictures, knotting it 11 times. Thank St. Ursula and leave her an offering of a croissant at the foot of a tree.
