Potion Party

Color of the day:  White
Incense of the day:  Lilac

There is something special about the Halloween season. Our beloved dead walk among us and the entire world is immersed in magic and mystery. Even the most skeptical are willing to at least try something magical. So how can you engage even the most skeptical of your friends and still do some magic? Throw a potion party, of course! The magic of the Mysterious Ones flows through all things. Herbs, crystals, news clippings, candles, paint, even the food we eat all have the potential to spin spells in motion and manifest our wills. Food can be particularly powerful because it is something we have every day. Gather a group of friends, magical or otherwise, for an evening of magical and edible potion making. Everyone can bring a different beverage and fruit. Once everyone has arrived, lay the fruit and beverages out and invite guests to intuitively pick fruits. If they're having trouble, you can always keep a copy of Cunningham's Encyclopedia of Wicca in the Kitchen by Scott Cunningham out as a resource. Once everyone has made their own brew, guide them in charging them with intention. Then, let the party begin as the beverages are passed around and the energy of the potion changes people. Who says magic can't be fun?
