LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Bay Leaf Vision

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Marjoram

Bay leaves are often used as a cooking spice; it can just as easily be used in witchcraft. Focusing on bay leaves, we are reminded of the Oracles of Delphi. These ancient Greek prophetesses are said to have chewed on bay leaves as part of their oracular work.
We can utilize the essence of this practice in our own lives in a simple way (or a complex manner, depending on how deep one wishes to take their oracular work).
When you wish to gain insight or clarity into a situation, take six bay leaves and brew them as a tea. When steeped, put yourself in a meditative state of mind for the duration of the cup of tea. While you sip the tea, simultaneously chew on the moist bay leaves (you don't need to swallow them) and contemplate the issue you need insight on. You may be surprised by the insight you gain, especially if you practice this working on numerous occasions over time!
