Chrysanthemum Spell

Color of the day:  Maroon
Incense of the day:  Bayberry

The chrysanthemum is the birth flower for the month of November. Aligned with the Sun and the element of Fire, this hardy perenial is a staple of the autumn garden. Among its many magical qualities, the "mum," as its often called, can repel ghosts from the home. Gather some mums from the garden and fill up a vase in your house. Enchant the flowers with a little help from the waning Moon with the following verse to help keep discontented spirits at bay. Work this spell at sunset to bring in the closing energies of the day.

"The chrysanthemum is a flower of November,
Lend your magic to mine, come what ever.
All spirits not in alignment with me must depart,
Hear me now as I work my witch's art."

Allow the flowers to work their magic until they begin to fade. Then neatly return them to nature.
