LLEWELLYN'S SPELL-A-DAY

Reasonable Expectations Spell

Color of the day:  Red
Incense of the day:  Basil

As we enter the holiday season, many folks find themselves depressed rather than joyous. One of the reasons for this is that it is hard to have reasonable expectations of the people and the season, and so we find ourselves disappointed and let-down. Try doing this spell for balance and a less unsettled attitude, to keep yourself on a more even keel. Light a blue candle. Burn some lavender incense and say:

"Tis the season to be jolly
Full of mistletoe and holly
Let my expectations be
As healthy as a living tree
Hope that soars, fine and free
And roots to ground and center me
Bless me with both joy and reason
As i celebrate the season"
