Beat the Heat Enchantment

In Japanese culture today is the second day of Doyo, or "the dog days." Many of us in the Northern Hemisphere are feeling the effects of some of the hottest days of the summer season. This makes for a perfect time to commune with the cooling and revitalizing element of water while also helping you to remember to maintain a healthy level of hydration! Pour yourself a tall glass of ice water and then charge the water by holding the glass between your hands and speaking the following enchantment into the top of the glass:

"Water flowing, water blue, water to cool, water to renew.
Water so nurturing, water so sustaining.
From head to toe, your powers shall flow, your revitalizing benefits I shall sow! So mote it be!"
