Much as we love our families, they know how to get on our nerves the fastest way possible. Find a scented holiday candle that you find soothing. I would suggest one with a vanilla or a gentle evergreen scent. Find a spot in front of the lit candle where you can sit comfortably for a time. Now, watch the candle flame and try to calm your body. Take deep breaths, letting yourself enjoy the candle's soothing scent. Every so often, remind yourself that they are your family and you love them. It's just that sometimes you might not like them, and that's okay. However, you're not going to let your reaction to them ruin the holidays for you.
