Rugs decorate our homes, protect our floors, and give us a place to wipe our feet. Practical and also often pretty, rugs take a lot of abuse and absorb a lot of dirt and energy. Since the moon is waning, now is a good time for cleaning and clearing. To dispel any negative or stale energy from your living space, use this spell while you literally clean any rugs you have in your home. This spell can be used for any type of rug-large ones that you have to beat or vacuum, small ones that you can wash or shake, and even bath mats. As you wash, vacuum, beat, or shake out the rugs, visualize the cleaning as a clearing of energy. Use this chant as you clean:

"Out with dirt, out with dust,
With this act, I entrust
A home that's clean, renewed, and
clear-
A magic touch throughout the year."
