Briefcase Blessing

Many people carry a briefcase to and from work, but these days it's just as likely to be replaced with a laptop bag, backpack, messenger bag, or even a really big purse. Regardless of its name and shape, it holds precious items worthy of protection, and you can create a protective effect with a briefcase blessing.
Fill a small bag with protective talismans: hematite and/or obsidian, a silver dime, an acorn, a bit of cedar or juniper, a dried clove, a large pinch of salt, three small nails, and a dried chili pepper. Tie the bag closed with a square knot for safety and balance. Working at sunrise, expose and hold your case up, offering it to the rising sun and asking aloud for protective energies. Repeat with your talisman bag, then slip the talisman bag into the briefcase and allow it to remain there, exerting its protective actions.
