Ganesha Mudra

Color of the day:  Brown
Incense of the day:  Sandalwood

Ganesha is a Hindu god portrayed with the head of an elephant. He is the remover of obstacles. He can also place obstacles to prevent undesirable things from happening. He is a patron of arts and sciences, balancing intellect with wisdom.
For the Ganesha mudra, place your left hand against your chest(horizontally), palm out. Overlap with your right hand, back of the hand facing out. Clasp hands, folding your fingers around each other. Without letting go, pull your hands outward, creating tension, and then release. Repeat several times. Then switch hands so that your left is back out and your right is palm out, going through the motions again. Finally, rest your hands softly over your heart. Meditate on feelings of peace.
This mudra symbolizes strength in the face of challenges. It warms and widens the heart. It helps you feel courageous and confident, making it easier to open up to other people.
