Color of the day: Purple Incense of the day: Balsam Every month at around the time of the new moon (yesterday), groups of women across the country gather together under the umbrella of the Red Tent Temple Movement. No children (except for the smallest of babies) are allowed in circle, and no men. Here, women find comfort and companionship, sisterhood and sanctuary. Participants share lively conversation, refreshments, and occasionally crafts, and the day ends with chanting and song and dance to honor the goddess in all women. With dozens of Red Tent Temple chapters across the country, there is sure to be one near you. Or you may wish to start a chapter on your own. |
