A Candle Spell: Your Voice in the Universe

If you feel that your own personal voice in life has gone unheard lately, try this spell to increase your presence and shift your energy from an introspective place into one that is more extroverted-at least temporarily. You can repeat this exercise whenever it feels like social pressures are too overwhelming, or during times when you are required to be socially active but feel like isolating yourself.

Begin by making "big" body movements. By making yourself big, and by using vocal intonation, your field of energy expands. Jump up and down, windmill your arms, flail around, and dance like no one is watching (please note that no one should be watching!). Vocally make your presence known to the universe by declaring:

Me! Free! Me! Free! Me! Free!

After you've sufficiently stirred up your energy, close your eyes and place your hands on your Vishuddha (throat) chakra. Visualize the energy that you've just raised as a vibrant blue color that surrounds your body. Consciously direct and channel all of this energy into your throat. See your throat as expansive and expressive- just like you were moments earlier. When you feel you've recharged this area with the blue light of communication, regularly practice speaking your mind with eloquence and grace.
