Dance in the Graveyard

Color of the day:  Topaz
Incense of the day:  Marjoram

Did you know that by the turn of the 1800s, cemeteries were no longer just places for the dead, but also community parks meant to be visited and walked in? They were even places to hold picnics and other gatherings.

On this day, remember with joy your loved ones who've passed on by visiting them in the graveyard. Tidy their gravesites if needed, smile, and remember their time on earth with you. Honor your ancestors. Sprinkle a mixture of red rose petals ( love), yellow rose petals ( I will never forget you), rosemary (remembrance), and ivy (friendship) on the gravesite before leaving. And yes, it's totally okay to talk to your loved one at their gravesite. If you don't have loved ones buried close by, why not adopt a neglected-looking burial site at the nearest cemetery?
