POSTED UNDER Summer, Water

Celebrating Neptune

Color of the day:  Lavender
Incense of the day:  Hyssop

During the heat of summer, we look for any way to cool down. We revel in the water and how it nurtures, calms, and cools us. Neptunalia was celebrated by the ancient Romans on this day, at the time of year when water was scarcest. By taking a moment to honor and invoke Neptune, you can garner his favor.

Create a sacred circle in which you can call upon Neptune. On your altar you may want to drape a blue cloth and include items such as shells and sand. When you feel ready, call upon Neptune and honor him. Be open to any messages that come from him. Feel free to offer him an item such as a blue stone as a token of your thanks.
