Today is Freedom from Hunger Day. The day was established to bring awareness to the issue of world hunger and to call people to action through community and other events. In our busy lives, we often forget that hunger exists on a local level as well. This spell will help you be part of the solution through both magick and real-world action.

Gather a small candle and an item to donate to your local food pantry. Place both upon your altar and light the candle. Envision the light surrounding your altar, surrounding the donation item, and surrounding and expanding to even greater areas, thereby illuminating the issue of world hunger and offering healing light. When finished, let the candle safely burn out or extinguish it, then donate the item and keep doing your part.
