Cleaning and Rededicating an Altar

Color of the day:  Blue
Incense of the day:  Sage

Whether it's a dedicated altar table or a cleared space on a kitchen counter, an altar becomes a focal point of power, and some of this energy remains within the surface after the spell or ritual has concluded. Every so often, it is a good practice to cleanse and rededicate an altar space to clear any magical residue so that it will not confuse the intent of future workings.

A simple means of cleansing is to anoint the altar with saltwater and visualize that this is breaking down any old energy, like dish soap works on a greasy pan. To seal the intention, you can say:

"Solid space for magical connection,
renewed, revived, and restored; a clean,
clear focus for fresh direction, my altar
is charged and its power reborn."

Dry off the altar and set any tools back in place.
