Meditation on the Earth Element

This meditation is intended to help you reconnect with the qualities of the earth element, which is nurturing, grounding, fertile, and stable. Focus on whichever qualities are most needed for you at this time, for example, prosperity or healing.

Find objects for your altar that represent the earth element. Plants, flowers, stones, or statues of animals are all good choices. As you meditate upon the object(s) of your choice, invite the power of the earth element using this chant:

"Field, flower, tree, and stone,
every part of earth is home.
Nurture spirit, flesh and bone,
remind us we are not alone."

To reinforce the connection, plant something in your garden or buy a potted plant as a reminder of the earth element in your life.
