Basket Blessing Wash

Color of the day:  Turquoise
Incense of the day:  Mulberry

It’s that time again to gather all of our baskets and begin filling them with fruits and veggies from the harvest! Sometimes our baskets don’t look so great after a summer of heavy use in the garden. This wash cleans, disinfects, and seals the fibers of the baskets to help them last longer and withstand a bit more robust use. Rinsing them in a full tub of warm water is best, but some baskets like to be soaked overnight and will tolerate their weave being adjusted or mended after a dip in a solution made of the following ingredients:

* 3 tablespoons coconut-based soap, free & clear
* 12 drops essential tea tree oil
* 4 tablespoons pure almond oil
* 2 tablespoons sesame oil
* 4 cups distilled white vinegar
* 4 cups Everclear alcohol

May baskets and the art of weaving remind us of traditional pagan times, filling our homes with health, wealth, and a plentiful harvest. Envision these qualities when soaking your baskets in this helpful solution.
