POSTED UNDER Cat, Love

A Spell for St. Mark's Eve

Color of the day:  Yellow
Incense of the day:  Hyacinth

Who shall be your partner in life?
Maybe a husband, maybe a wife?
Tonight is the eve of good St. Mark,
So wait until it’s good and dark.
Then light and burn a candle bright,
And hold a cloth up to the light.
In its threads thy shall behold
Thy true love’s face in flames foretold.
A warning though that thou must heed:
Bring the cloth not too near the flame,
Lest the thing should catch afire
And burn away love and desire!
Is this legend or is this spell?
Try! It’s the only way to tell.
