Holiday Spirit

Color of the day:  Pink
Incense of the day:  Cypress

Early winter is the holiday season. Many cultures feature major holidays at this time: some fixed, like Christmas, some based on astronomical events, like Yule, and others more variable, like Hanukkah. If you have friends from many traditions, you could wind up celebrating all month long. This creates a sense of holiday spirit. Sometimes all the excitement can get exhausting, though.

Here is an invocation for the Holiday Spirit to help you through this time. You will need a symbol of your favorite winter holiday, such as a sprig of mistletoe or a holly-shaped pin for Yule. Hold your hands over the symbol and say:

I invoke the Holiday Spirit. Watch
over me in your season as I celebrate
Yule. [Add any other holidays
you plan to observe, too.]
Let my mind stay calm, my heart
joyful, and my body full of energy.
As I will, so mote it be.

Afterward, hang the symbol in your home if you will be hosting events, or wear it if you plan to visit more.
