Today is Flag Day in the US, so create your own personal flag. Start today and take as much time as you wish. Choose three to five symbols that resonate with you and represent who you are or what you’re working toward, such as a Celtic knot, a star, a dragon, etc.

Choose a piece of fabric for the background of your flag in any color. Cut and shape it to your wishes. Sketch the placement of your symbols first. Attach your symbols to the background in other fabrics and colors that are appropriate to your goals. Trace the designs onto the fabric, then cut them out and sew or glue them in place. Or you can use fabric paint to draw them. Finish the edges of the flag with a hem or pinking shears. When complete, bless and consecrate your flag by breathing on it and then holding it to your heart and saying:

I fly this flag, introducing myself to the

world with peace and compassion.

Hang the flag in your home and/or bring it with you to festivals.
