Salamanders are the elemental guardians of fire. While fire has the potential to do great harm, it also has the capacity to provide energy and renewal. The salamander knows the difference and finds a balance between the extremes. Today being a Sunday allows us to tap into the energies surrounding this creature and channel its spirit.

You will need an incense such as dragon's blood or patchouli. Light the incense in a heatproof container or vessel. Let the incense move over you. Take your hands and direct the smoke over yourself while saying:
As flame and smoke arise, let
me capture the energy and brave
courage of the salamander.

Repeat this verse three times and finish with a deep breath.
