A rainy day can be depressing, but without this vital element, our world would be barren. Every living thing would perish. This spell honors rain. Perform it on a rainy day. You'll need a small bowl or dish and a bit of rainwater. If you're unable to collect your own rainwater, use a small amount of bottled spring water. Collect some rainwater in your bowl/ dish. Place it on your altar. Stand before the water and gaze into it. Visualize the waters of this Earth— oceans, rivers, lakes, ponds, even a puddle made during a thunderstorm. Then pause and say:

It cleanses the land and
sprouts the grain.
It is life-giving, it is called rain.
It falls, it trickles, it flows.
It nourishes every animal
and plant that grows.

End the ritual by respectfully pouring the rainwater (or bottled water) onto the Earth.
