Tarot Spreads for Any Occasion

Are you curious about reading Tarot? Wonder how it works? Ever heard of Tarot spreads? They're like creative card arrangements in Tarot readings, revealing unique patterns and stories. Let the person who wrote the book on tarot spreads help you understand what it all means and how to identify and use the best spreads for you. Gain confidence, improve your readings, and have more fun. By the end of the class, everyone can design a spread to contribute to a collection which will be shared with all the participants.
Some tarot experience will be useful but not a prerequisite. Students will do readings for each other.
Week 1: Spread Basics
Where did spreads come from and what is their purpose? Do how the cards are laid out matter? There are a lot of spreads in the world, and we can analyze them for usefulness making it easy to select the best spread for the situation and your reading style. If a spread isn't quite right, it is possible to modify them to suit your needs.
Week 2: "Yes/No" Spreads
"Yes/No" questions are controversial among readers. In this session, participants will discover how useful these questions can be. In addition to a practical approach, we will learn a few quaint old practices that are good fun, and can be eerily accurate.
Week 3: Spread Design, Part 1
Using a tarot card or a favorite quote for inspiration, everyone will practice designing a tarot spread. We will focus on breaking down the image or quote into component parts to create positions and on how to best layout those positions.
Week 4: Spread Design, Part 2
Working in pairs or solo, participants will create a spread from scratch. Building on last week's class, we will decide on the spread's purpose and how to best accomplish that. We will play with techniques that can be added to spreads to make them more useful, more interesting, or more fun.
Registration includes on-demand access to recordings of all the classes, which can be viewed for two weeks following the date of the final class. Late registrants will receive recording links to all missed sessions for on-demand viewing.
