Incense of the day: Ginger Today is Election Day in the U.S., the day you will be using the wisdom of all the ancestors, the presidents who have passed on, and the goddess Athena to help elect wise men and women to lead the country. For this, place an image of Athena on your altar. Place a few photos of loved ones who have passed on and whose opinions you would trust, along with a few photos of deceased presidents (such as those in your wallet). Burn a blue candle and some rosemary incense, saying: Wise Athena, Trusted ancestors Revered presidents, Bless us with wisdom to elect the finest men and women today. Let us be strong And have the courage of our convictions. Let those who are elected Tread the path of honest and true leadership. Let my words be heard by the gods And the honored dead. As my will, so mote it be. Look into the candle flame and meditate on honesty and integrity. Write a few words about what you would like your elected officials to accomplish. Place the paper under the candle, and burn the candle a little each day while meditating on the idea of truth. |
