Incense of the day: Lavender Choose a deity or element you wish to honor and connect with today. You can make a mask to hang on a wall or place on an altar. Buy a bit of patterned fabric and an embroidery hoop. Loosen the hoop by turning the screw. Place the fabric within the two hoops. Tighten the hoop back up and pull the fabric tight. Decorate the fabric with anything that represents the deity or element you wish to connect with. Some items you can use include beads, ribbons, fabric paint, decals, thread, sequins, and natural items such as shells, feathers, bark, pine cones, and so on. Place some ribbon around the hoop screw and hang the mask up where you can see it. Put a candle in front and burn it. Use it to meditate daily on your deity or element. |
