Incense of the day: Frankincense To be ready so that gossip and verbal attacks aren't a surprise, try this spell. Gather together patchouli incense for its protection and grounding powers, a tincture with nettle for its bodily cleansing ability and prickly defensive nature, a small glass of water, and a small black candle in a glass holder. After performing your regular devotions and asking the elements and your deities to be present, light the black candle and, holding up to spirit, chant, "Fire and black hold them back, glass so clear keep protection near." Put a couple of drops of the nettle tincture in the glass of water and, holding up to spirit, chant, "By the power of nettle, keep me on my mettle. With water so smooth, my feelings please soothe." Drink the water, envisioning your resistance to attack being strengthened. Thank the spirits. Allow the candle to burn down completely and bury the remaining wax in the ground. Repeat as necessary. |
