| Feeling embattled at work? Gather together five pens or pencils. Hold them between your hands and call on your patron deity to witness your spell, saying, "These pens are mightier than swords and stronger than wands. They protect and defend me in my work." Determine the direction the trouble comes from, and lay the pens in front of you. Angle the first pen so it tilts up from left to right, the second so it tilts down from right to left, forming two sides of a triangle. Balance the third pen sweeping up at an angle from lower right to upper left. The fourth pen forms the crossbar, and the fifth pen brings this banishing pentagram together. Hint: If the pens won't stay in place easily, wrap a rubber band around one end of each pen. Leave in place till the end of the day or until you feel the problem is passing. |
