Incense of the day: Mulberry Being a New Moon day, this is a great time to call upon your guides and ancestors. Cast a circle as you normally would, preparing to make contact with your spiritual guides. You may wish to construct additional magical workings based on this chant, or simply repeat it in meditation and see what visions and spirit communications come to you. If you know who your spirit guides are, be they departed relatives, friends, or strictly astral beings, you may communicate with them during the ritual. Otherwise, you may be surprised at what communications you receive. If you don't "get" anything the first time, keep trying each New Moon, altering the ritual and chanting as you deem appropriate; Witchcraft is a living and personal spiritual path, after all. Repeat three times: This New Moon I call to my ancestors and guides. Bless me now and appear to mine eyes. Dearly departed who stand at my side, I approach you now with honor and pride. |
