Oftentimes, the chaos and noise of life carry subtle messages that we overlook if we're not carefully engaged in the experience. Sound is received much faster by the body than it is processed by the brain. When we open ourselves to other frequencies of energy, we alter the general stream of our consciousness and awaken to new ideas. To summon increased sensitivity to the message within the chaos, try selecting four diverse albums and listening to them all at the same time while meditating. It is best if the albums are from four unrelated musical genres. Four is the number associated with competition and death, and it therefore bears similar alignments as does the number zero. What may seem at first to be chaos will carefully construct an order for itself! Have a magical journal or pen and paper on hand to record any words or phrases that stand out to you. Above all else, try to remain open. The exercise is more powerful if you select artists that have personal meaning for you. Practicing active listening will help you open your mind to the wisdom that can be found in chaos.
