| Yule - Winter Solstice Full Moon 3:13 am Witches and Pagans use water charged under the Full Moon for purification rituals and miscellaneous cleansing work, such as washing religious statues, crystals, pentagrams, magical mirrors, and other tools. Moon water can also be added to baths and for cleaning wounds. Moon water is one of the greatest liquids for anointing the body's energy points before starting ritual work. Different paths anoint the body in different ways. Purification points for the Celts were the forehead, lower stomach, and feet. This is also called the "Three-fold Blessing." Gather your own Moon water during the night of a Full Moon for storage until ready for usage. Use only a silver container such as a mug, chalice, or bowl. On a Full Moon night, fill up the silver container with spring water and place it outside or on an open windowsill. Let it sit undisturbed for several hours to absorb lunar rays. For more Moon-charged water, use several more silver vessels with spring water. When you feel the water is well charged, pour it into a glass jar with cap for storage. When you need to use the water, write some short verses relevant to your magical intent before opening the jar. |
