This day in history was sacred to the Mothers, three goddesses worshipped in Celtic lands for bringing abundance and a good harvest, though we give this day no credit for actual "Mother's Day" holiday.
Use this day to be thankful for the abundance already in your life. We often think we need more, more, more, and forget to be happy about what we already do have. Take some time to really think about the abundance you have. Do you have a home? A car? Plenty of clothes to keep you warm? You most likely have all of that and a whole lot more. Remind yourself that not everyone does. Thank the Mothers who have brought plenty of abundance into your life so far. You may also want to spend some time thinking about what you can do to help others who might not have nearly as much as you do. |
