Spell: Channel the Comfort of Carmenta

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

The moon is waning, and it is quite likely that your energy may be waning from the celebrations of the past two weeks. Now is the time to increase your personal energy by giving. What we give comes back to us threefold.
Rally your family to be generous and cheerful givers to those in need. Early in the day, prepare a hearty crockpot meal. Then honour the spirit of Carmenta, a goddess of motherhood, and offer motherly comfort to others. Volunteer at a local soup kitchen. Before you leave the house, ground and center, and offer up a request for stamina.
Should actual participation not be an option for you and yours, contribute to a local food bank. Make it a group project, a scavenger hunt in the supermarket, and create several nutritious meals. This will be an educational challenge, being limited to nonperishable items. A third option is preparing several meals to be frozen and delivered to an elderly member of your community. Out of this comes an opportunity for cooking lessons. At the end of the day, your family can relax and partake of the comforting soup or stew simmering in the crockpot. Encourage all to share their favorite part of the day, or what they learned.
