| Today is a day to celebrate and honor Lady Luck, according to Z Budapest in The Grandmother of Time. For this spell, you'll need three candles for the three Fates: Clotho, who spins the threads of fate; Lachesis, who measures the thread and thereby determines how long our lives will be; and Atropos, who cuts the threads of life when our time to cross over has come. Governed by eternal laws, the major aspects of the weavings of the Fates(such as our lifespans) cannot be changed, but our luck can be improved!
Choose candles in a color having to do with the energies of the luck you wish to change. Light the first candle and say: "Clotho, spinner of the threads of fate, please send beneficial luck my way." Light the second candle and say: "Lachesis, measurer of the lives of mortals, please send luck for the remainder of my journey here on this earth." Light the third candle and say: "Atropos, cutter of the threads, I thank you for the time I have been allotted here, but please help me to improve the quality of my life." Then bless them all and thank them all. Let the candles burn down as your offering to these powerful goddesses. |
