| First, make sure your altar is freshly cleaned and all your supplies are well organized. Ground and center and take your time to slowly cleanse your altar with sage, then purify it with saltwater. Say:
"From this moment forward, my altar is dedicated to ______ (your personal matron goddesses and/or patron gods) and myself. I have meditated on my sacred purpose for myself and my altar, and now (as you waft incense smoke over the altar) I charge this altar to that purpose." Dot your altar with anointing or spell-sealing oil, and say: "So mote it be." |
