Spell: To Honor Perchta

Color of the Day
Incense of the Day

Today is the day of Frau Perchta, a Norse goddess associated with the wilderness, spinning, and even the Wild Hunt in some parts of Germany. On this night, folks would leave offerings of food out for her, hoping for her blessings of good luck in the coming year. Why not honor Perchta by leaving some cream and a hearty slice of bread out for her? And ask her for blessings throughout the year by creating some sort of simple weaving project, perhaps for use on your altar. Those simple weaving looms that use loops of fabric are very easy to work with and make great coasters and hot pads. Similar looms can also easily be made using cardboard. Check around the Web.
